Apple Rumors: Confetti, Air Products, and iCloud Storage

Apple might launch a new event invite service called 'Confetti', unveil new 'Air' products this week, and faces ongoing scrutiny over iCloud storage pricing.

Apple Rumors: Confetti, Air Products, and iCloud Storage

Apple is making headlines this week with a flurry of potential announcements and ongoing legal challenges. From a rumored new event invitation service to the unveiling of new "Air" products and continued debates over iCloud storage, there's a lot happening in the Apple ecosystem.

Confetti: Apple's New Party Trick?

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple may be on the verge of launching a new iCloud-based service called "Confetti" dedicated to event invitations. This potential service could be unveiled as early as this week and is expected to build upon Apple's existing Calendar app features. It seems Apple is looking to make planning and sharing events even easier for its users.

The 'Confetti' service appears to be part of Apple's broader strategy to revamp its core apps and services. Could this mean a more visually engaging and interactive way to send and manage invitations? We'll have to wait and see!

Something's in the Air

Adding to the excitement, Apple CEO Tim Cook has teased the arrival of new "Air" products this week. In a post on X, Cook shared a six-second video with the tagline "There's something in the AIR." The video features a cool visual effect, slicing through the word "AIR," leaving fans speculating about what Apple has in store.

Could we be seeing a new iteration of the AirPods, a refreshed MacBook Air, or something entirely new? The anticipation is definitely building! This announcement comes just as many are considering upgrades to their existing Apple devices.

iCloud Storage Under Scrutiny

While Apple teases new products and services, it continues to face scrutiny over its iCloud storage policies. A class-action lawsuit accusing Apple of leveraging its market dominance to overcharge users for iCloud storage has been dismissed by US District Judge Eumi Lee.

The lawsuit highlighted that Apple has offered only 5GB of free iCloud storage for the past 14 years. Judge Lee has given the plaintiffs the option to file an amended version of the case. Despite the legal challenges, the current ruling suggests that changes to Apple's iCloud storage pricing may not be imminent. "It is now 14 years that Apple has been giving users just 5GB free iCloud storage each, so it is surely never going to increase that without some outside pressure," one report stated.

In other Apple-related news, for users looking to upgrade the technology in their cars, there's a low-cost adapter that allows older vehicles to connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly. The PlayAIBox is a plug-and-play device that eliminates the need for cables and even supports streaming services. It's currently on sale for $84.97.
