Cyclone Garance Batters La Réunion

Météo-France predicted that "the eye of the storm will cross the island and is expected to emerge into the sea from the south in the next two or three hours."

Japan Struggles with Massive Wildfire
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Japan is battling its worst wildfire in 50 years. The fire, raging in Iwate prefecture, has already consumed approximately 2,600 hectares of forest.
