Deputy Involved in Shooting

The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Main Event in Highlands Ranch. According to reports, a Douglas County deputy shot Jalin Seabron nine times within 15 seconds of arriving on the scene. The circumstances leading to the shooting are currently under investigation.

Explosive Device at Ponderosa High School

In a separate incident, a juvenile male is in custody after allegedly bringing an explosive device to Ponderosa High School. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported that the device was found in the student's backpack on Tuesday night.

The school was immediately placed on lockdown as authorities investigated the situation. The juvenile was taken into custody, and the device was secured. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
