Gaming and Royal News: Portal, Onimusha, and Beatrice

Welcome to your weekly entertainment roundup! From the gaming world to royal appearances, there's plenty to discuss.

PlayStation Portal: Revolution or Just Another Gadget?

The PlayStation Portal is here, promising a new way to play PS5 games on the go, or at least, around the house. But does it live up to the hype? One reviewer, a self-confessed fan of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds, spent £200 on the device, hoping to squeeze in some gaming time between family commitments.

The verdict? It's a mixed bag. The reviewer struggles to decide "whether it’s one of the most unwieldy things that Sony has ever come out with, or one of the most elegant." While the ability to stream PS5 games to a handheld device is appealing, the Portal may not deliver the seamless experience many gamers crave. It certainly has a high bar to clear, given the Nintendo Switch's success in the portable gaming market.

Onimusha Returns!

Fans of samurai action games rejoice! Capcom is set to release another installment in the legendary Onimusha series in 2026. Onimusha: Way of the Sword promises intense action with supernatural elements, featuring monsters from the underworld of Genma. This time, players will step into the shoes of Miyamoto Musashi, exploring the Edo-era city of Kyoto.

The Princess looked radiant and also announced a new role at the event. This marks a significant return to public life for the Princess after welcoming her second daughter.
