Krakow is making moves to support both its environment and its local businesses. The city has announced the purchase of new hydrogen-powered buses and introduced a program to assist companies navigating the challenges of renovation projects.
Hydrogen Buses Coming to Krakow
In a significant step towards sustainable transportation, MPK, Krakow's public transport operator, has selected PAK-PCE Polski Autobus Wodorowy to supply the city with its first 10 hydrogen-powered buses. These buses, manufactured by NesoBus, represent the culmination of nearly three years of rigorous testing. During this period, MPK evaluated hydrogen vehicles from five different manufacturers, including industry giants like Solaris and Mercedes, as well as ArthurBus, Autosan, and NesoBus.

The extensive testing process highlights MPK's commitment to ensuring the reliability and performance of these environmentally friendly vehicles. The introduction of hydrogen buses is expected to significantly reduce emissions and improve air quality in Krakow.
"The purchase of these hydrogen buses marks a pivotal moment for Krakow's public transportation system," said a representative from MPK. "We are committed to providing our citizens with clean, efficient, and sustainable transportation options."
Supporting Businesses Through Renovations
Recognizing the disruption that construction and renovation can cause to local businesses, the city of Krakow has also launched a special package of solutions designed to provide support during these periods. The initiative aims to help businesses maintain operations and ensure that customers can continue to access their services and products, even when their location temporarily becomes a construction zone.

This assistance may include measures such as improved signage directing customers to businesses, temporary parking solutions, and coordinated construction schedules to minimize disruption. The city's proactive approach demonstrates its dedication to fostering a thriving local economy.
A Brighter Future for Krakow
These two initiatives – the adoption of hydrogen-powered buses and the support program for businesses undergoing renovation – showcase Krakow's commitment to both environmental sustainability and economic prosperity. By investing in clean transportation and providing assistance to businesses, Krakow is building a brighter future for its citizens and its economy.

Krakow is setting an example for other cities looking to balance environmental responsibility with the needs of local businesses. The city's innovative approach is sure to inspire others to follow suit.
