Mega-Sena Jackpot Estimated at R$ 6.5 Million
The Caixa Econômica Federal (Federal Savings Bank) will hold the draw for Mega-Sena contest 2,757 this Saturday (3), with an estimated jackpot of R$ 6.5 million. The draw will take place at 8:00 pm (Brasilia time) at the Espaço da Sorte (Luck Space), located on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, and will be broadcast live on Caixa's social media channels.
To participate, bettors can register their bets until 7:00 pm (Brasilia time) at any lottery shop accredited by Caixa, on the bank's website, or through its mobile app. A simple ticket with six numbers marked costs R$ 5.
For bets made on the Caixa website, the minimum amount to bet on Mega-Sena is R$ 30, whether for a single bet or more. To place a larger bet with seven numbers, the price rises to R$ 31.50, according to Caixa.
Another option to reach the minimum price is to make seven simple bets, which together have the same value, R$ 31.50.
Lottery Pool
One way to bet on Mega-Sena, in addition to individual games, is to form a group to choose the numbers, the so-called lottery pool. When registered in the system, the bet generates a coupon receipt for each participant, who can redeem their share of the prize individually.
Lottery pools have a minimum value of R$ 10, and each share must be at least R$ 5, with the possibility of forming a pool with a minimum of two and a maximum of 100 shares. The bettor can also acquire shares of pools organized by lottery shops. Just ask the attendant for the number of shares you want and keep the receipt to check the bet on the day of the draw.
In this case, an additional service fee of up to 35% of the share value may be charged, at the discretion of the lottery shop.
Prize
The gross prize corresponds to 43.35% of the collection. Of this percentage:
-
35% are distributed among the winners of the 6 drawn numbers (Sena);
19% among the winners of 5 numbers (Quina);
19% among the winners of 4 numbers (Quadra);
22% remain accumulated and are distributed to the winners of the 6 numbers in the contests ending in 0 or 5;
5% remain accumulated for the first range - sena - of the last contest of the year ending in 0 or 5 (Mega da Virada).
If there are no winners in any range, the value accumulates for the next contest, in the respective prize range.
The prizes expire 90 days after the date of the draw. After this period, the amounts are transferred to the National Treasury for application in the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
