CestujFEST Debuts in Mikulov

Travel enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The very first edition of CestujFEST is coming to Mikulov on March 15th and 16th. Located in the beautiful Southern Moravia region, Mikulov, known for its exquisite wine, will be the hub for adventure seekers and travel story aficionados. Whether you're looking for inspiration for your next vacation or simply enjoy listening to seasoned globetrotters share their experiences, CestujFEST promises a weekend of inspiration and adventure.

Krásenská Lookout Tower Prepares for its 90th

The unique observation tower near Krásna, nestled in the Sokolov region, is gearing up to celebrate its 90th anniversary this June. But before the festivities begin, the tower is undergoing a significant reconstruction. The project, estimated to cost around four million crowns, commenced on February 26th and is slated for completion in approximately three months. This ensures the tower will be in top shape for its milestone celebration and for visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Macocha Abyss Cable Car Now Barrier-Free

Great news for accessibility! After thirty years of operation, the cable car near the breathtaking Macocha Abyss in the Moravian Karst (Blanensko) is finally barrier-free. Previously, navigating the lower station posed a significant challenge, especially for wheelchair users, families with strollers, and cyclists. The steep, narrow stairs required considerable effort to overcome.

The upgrade marks a significant improvement for tourism in the area. A modern cable car ascending a steep slope towards a dramatic limestone cliff face, surrounded by lush green forest. Now, everyone can easily access the stunning views from the Macocha Abyss, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Moravian Karst. This improvement removes a long-standing barrier and allows even more people to experience the natural beauty of the region.

Whether you're drawn by the allure of CestujFEST, the historical significance of the Krásenská lookout tower, or the improved accessibility of the Macocha Abyss cable car, Southern Moravia is ready to welcome you with open arms.
