The District Court for Prague 5 ordered Ludvík's detention on Wednesday, making him one of the seventeen individuals currently being prosecuted in the case. Police and the European Prosecutor are pushing for custody for four of the accused, including Ludvík and former lawyer Miroslav Jansa.
Kellner Foundation Withdraws Funding
Adding to the hospital's woes, the Kellner Foundation has terminated its contract, resulting in the loss of a half-billion in funding. This funding was intended for the construction of a new oncology center, a project now facing significant uncertainty.

Ludvík's Political Aspirations
Beyond his role at Motol Hospital, Ludvík harbored political ambitions. He twice attempted to enter parliament but was unsuccessful. Reports suggest that prominent political figures, including Sobotka and Babiš, had expectations for him in the political arena.
The European Prosecutor is seeking detention for four individuals involved in the Motol case, citing concerns about potential corruption and contract manipulation. The District Court for Prague 5 will now decide on the fate of the accused, including the former director of Motol Hospital.
