She returned to her apartment on February 24th to meet with Mateusz K., who allegedly demanded money from her. "I confirm that in connection with the murder we have detained the victim's son, and the man is being interrogated at the prosecutor's office," stated prosecutor Ryszard Gąsiorowski of the District Prosecutor's Office in Koszalin.

Neighbors and acquaintances described Joanna H. as a beloved teacher. "Children adored Mrs. Asia, she taught them English, and now such news—a terrible tragedy," one neighbor said. Another recounted hearing "the terrible cry of a woman" on the day of the murder.

Disturbing Behavior and a Chilling Facebook Profile

Reports suggest Mateusz K. exhibited disturbing behavior leading up to the murder. Locals claim he was seen walking the streets with a noose around his neck and instilled terror in a local bar. His Facebook profile is also said to be unsettling. The investigation is ongoing.
