Dangerous Criminals Arrested for Attempted Kidnapping in Portuguesa
After being informed of an incident where a group of criminals were planning to carry out several kidnappings in Caracas, Miranda, Aragua, and Portuguesa, with the intention of disrupting the peace and public order of the Venezuelan population, officers from the Kidnapping Investigation Division began their investigation and succeeded in arresting three dangerous criminals who perpetrated the crime.
The first incident they were planning to carry out was in the Acarigua parish, Páez municipality, Portuguesa state, when a merchant was about to return to his home and was subdued by this group of armed men, who, under threat of death, attempted to kidnap him. However, the victim managed to escape and report the incident.
Investigation
After learning the details of the crime, the detective commissions focused on the investigation and were able to locate two vehicles similar to those described by the victim in their report.
Once the vehicles were sighted, the subjects were approached and identified as José Manuel Sierra (44), a Colombian who was usurping the identity of Darwin Rea Tovar, nicknamed "Coco," who was the one who planned and executed the kidnapping. They also arrested Niandineth Rea Tovar, José's partner, who cooperated in the act and provided her brother's identity, as well as Naudy Arambulet (48), nicknamed "Tiro al Piso," who was responsible for providing information about the victim, the businesses he carried out, and his family members.
As evidence, a firearm-type pistol, clothing alluding to the PNB (Bolivarian National Police), used to simulate roadblocks and commit criminal acts, handcuffs and ammunition, and a motorcycle used as a means of committing the attempted kidnapping were found.
José Manuel Sierra has an Interpol Red Notice at the request of Colombia for Kidnapping and Homicide, while with the identity he usurped, he has a police record of 14 entries for serious crimes and a request from the 5th Control Court of the Judicial Circumscription of Maturín, for robbery and kidnapping.
The arrest of these three dangerous criminals is a significant step in ensuring the safety and security of the Venezuelan population. The coordinated efforts of the law enforcement agencies involved demonstrate their commitment to combating organized crime and protecting the public from such threats.
Victim's Escape and Reporting
The victim's quick thinking and ability to escape the attempted kidnapping, as well as their prompt reporting of the incident, were crucial in setting the investigation in motion. This highlights the importance of community cooperation and vigilance in combating such criminal activities.
The arrest of these three individuals is a significant victory for law enforcement and the community of Portuguesa. It sends a clear message that criminal activities will not be tolerated and that the authorities are committed to maintaining public order and safety.
As the investigation continues, it is essential that the public remains vigilant and reports any suspicious activities or information that could aid in the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in the region. The collaboration between law enforcement and the community is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
Continued Efforts to Ensure Safety
The arrest of these three dangerous criminals is a step in the right direction, but the fight against organized crime in Venezuela is ongoing. The authorities must remain vigilant and continue to work tirelessly to dismantle criminal networks and prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
The resilience and determination of the Venezuelan people in the face of such challenges is commendable, and it is through their continued cooperation and support that the country can overcome the obstacles posed by criminal elements and maintain a peaceful and secure environment for all its citizens.
