Well, that's changing. A cooler air mass is moving in, bringing us back to more seasonable temperatures. So, dust off those extra layers!

Before the chill arrived, many areas of southern New England experienced significant rainfall. Overnight, some areas saw between 0.75 and 1.50 inches of rain. The heaviest rain has now shifted offshore, but we're still seeing some lingering spotty showers and drizzle. 
And along with the rain came the wind!
Speaking of wind, prepare for some gusts. Expect winds to pick up, with gusts potentially reaching 40-50 mph, and even pushing 50-60 mph in some areas. Be sure to secure any loose outdoor items and take extra caution while driving.
